I just noticed that there isnt a side bar on the passengers side? is that a 5 point roll bar?

Not to take anything away from Johnny or Sue, as I met them at WFC5. They are two of the most upstanding people in the Lightning community and Johnny has brought the Gen. 2 Lightnings to a new level,......but guys, don't forget your heritage.

This IS,......and most likely always will be, the Worlds Fastest Lightning,....a Gen. 1



Jason Browns old 95 farm truck

 

I am fortunate to be in the same city that Jasons truck was built. I watched this truck on the dyno many times at Reith Motorsports skipping its tires on the dyno and still making 1780 hp and 2000 plus torque. This thing sounded like a jet and would run 7 second blasts. Awesome. But for me to see this truck run down the track countless times, will allways be remembered. The above pic was before Jason got his tube chassis done at the Race Car Factory. The truck has been since sold to someone in Saudi Arabia, rumor has it.
But you gotta give credit where credit is do, and JL is the present day Fastest Gen 2.

IMO that truck IS Border line to even be considered
a Lightning anymore

I think the JLP truck is still the second fastest. I believe Jason Brown's 7.80 Lightning still holds the official title.

 

Let's not confuse fast with quick.

 

That's all fine and good that you want to say it's not still a lightning, but in the first pic above before it was tube chassis, how fast was it running?? Judging by the launch I'd bet it was faster than 9.80.

Not trying to discredit either but I think it's kinda funny how everyone has all these categories, johnny's truck is fast, don't discredit jasons though by saying it's not a lightning anymore.

BTW I have the fastest silver lightning with billet grills, billet under the hood, expedition console, bassani exhaust and PSP tuning....on my street.
