Talking My new Hood!!

I just had the stock hood of my 2002 Lightning replaced with a Cervini's Ram Air hood. I was VERY pleased with the overall construction of this piece. It's a heavy gauge fiberglass and fits 99% as well as the stock metal hood. The scoops are functional in that they are open directly to the engine bay but are not hooked up to any ram air device. They serve more as functional heat extractors. The body shop did an AWESOME job of matching the color and keeping the clear overspray to a minimum. If you are looking for quality fiberglass pieces I would highly recommend the folks at Cervini's.

THANK YOU all for the kind words!!

BigSVT I did not weigh either hood but I believe the Cervini's piece is indeed lighter.

Weight of Cervini Hood

I have the Cervini Ram Air hood on my 99 Lightning and the actual weight is about twice as heavy as the stock hood. Very thick, high density fibreglass is much heavier than the lightweight stock hood. I think someone posted an actual weight difference in a previous post.
