John Hennessey twin turbo srt-10 1/4 mile results.

Quick Facts,
twin turbo srt-10 with 10psi and 670rwhp.
11.26 @ 122.52
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Best run from Craig's Silver Venom 800 Twin Turbo also known as Craig's Silver Bullet:
60 ft. 1.66
330 ft. 4.76
1/8 et 7.25
1/8 mph 99.58
1/4 et 11.26
1/4 mph 122.52
We got this on our 4th run tonite. The 3 previous runs were all 11.5 with mph varying from 117 - 122 mph and 60 ft times in the 1.8 range.
We ran a tire that was shorter than we wanted to run and we did hit the limiter at the end of the track in 4th gear on a few runs. The best run of 11.26 was shifting into 5th gear at the 1000 ft. mark. The next time out we will run a taller tire and see what happens.
Craig's silver bullet was running about 10 psi boost and was making about 670 rw hp. The truck ran at full weight (5400 lbs) and had the tail gate on and in the up position.
All in all, I was very happy with the performance for our first real trip to the track. We will be going back again soon and we will let you know how we do.
I will try to post the time slip and video from the 11.26 run when I get a chance.
Thanks again to Craig for allowing us to build this really fast, fun truck.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For all the coin that the owner spent, I'd be pissed.
Consdering that upgrades cost $42,000.00

GOTTA LUV THE LIGHTNING. we can get the same performance with 1/4 of the aftermarket price.
So this guy has a truck $45,000 plus another $42,000 in mods. $87,000 and it runs 11.2?

That is a lot of money to put into the Ram to get low 11's. Maybe they just need to tweek it to get lower numbers, but time will tell.

That is a moot point. Would you be more satisfied if I said I could build a pickup to go faster than mid-13s for less than the price of a Lightning?

SO if you could buy a new truck and get it into the mid-13s for $10,000 (1/3 the price of the lightning) I'd be impressed.
Can you do that for me and get back with the results? I'd appreciate it.

Comparing a truck with a drag car was not the point I think.

HAHA. What's even funnier, is that when I sent him the two trucks, I didn't even ask him how much. Nor will I on the next three I send him. For some people price is important, others it isn't.

I think most will agree that if you priced out an XLT with the 5.4 and flareside, the "Lightning" addons only came to about $5000. One h3ll of a value.

As long as a Pinto is compared, a new bike for about a 1/10th of that will smoke those times. A used bike for 1/20th of that will also do the job.
That kit is very expensive, but if you look it over it contains some really great parts to make a real stout engine.
Lets not forget that low 11's for a truck is VERY impressive, and expensive. Eventually they will hit 10's, then 9's.
It took Dodge 5 years to come up with some competition for our L's, and I'm glad to see it. Ford will work even harder to stay on top.

(Not 100% on this)I was under the impression that the 'Venom 1000', along with the strokers, are the ones with the built motors.
John seems like a nice enough guy, but that's part of his business. Obviously he has a customer base, but I won't be part of it. Waaaay to pricey for my blood.
After reading this thread, I went to the Hennessey Performance website to check it out and found what I thought was a really funny line.
Just thought I'd share.
After taking a quick look at the Venom Twin Turbo Ram SRT, one Lightning owner quickly noticed, 'Hey, at least he has some K&N filters.... Hey are those turbos?' Yes sir, those are turbos.
