Question Water/Alcohol bottle location?

For those of you that have already done this, where did you mount the water bottle?

And are you spraying before or after the throttle body?

Any pics? Room seems real tight in our L's.

Thanks

I put mine in the cupholder.

I have the SMC kit that puts the pump in the windshield washer fluid reservoir. I inject mine right in front of the throttle body.

Ya use the front cupholer for your bottles, they fit great. For larger cups use your console cup holder

Thanks Jody,
I was all set on building a bracket parallel to the brake fluid resevoir. The only down side to that is that I wouldn't have a way to check engine oil without unbolting something. So I was looking everywhere that I could think of and came across an awesome place. Take off the plastic cover from the wiring junction on the firewall (not the computer area). A simple L shaped bracket can be made easily, and bolted to that metal bracket. Amost looks factory just sitting in there.

So the SMC kit uses a pump that fits inside of the windshield washer fluid? What hold the pump in there?

I got in on the group purchase for a snow performance system, I know that somebody else bought one that owns a lightning.

So how is your working out? Have played with advancing timing at all?

Kurt,

The SMC kit comes with a new washer bottle; he already has the pump mounted in it. I would never get rid of this system. I was running 20 degrees of timing with the Apten and 14 psi of boost on 91 octane. Without the alcohol I could only run 14 degrees or so. Big power difference.

Jody,
That's pretty awesome. What are you running through it? I'm thinking of using windshield washer fluid that contains methanol(about 43%). I can't wait until mine is setup. Are you using a rubber, fiberglass, or aluminum inlet to the throttle body? I'm thinking of using NOS plate for my nozzle.

I've used methanol, but generally use ethanol; much less corrosive. Either way I add a capful of top oil per gallon of alcohol.

SMC uses a brass nozzle with a 90 degree angle tube that fits directly into the inlet boot aiming at the throttle blades. A nitrous block would work great.
