im 18 got jewed out of a few lightnings interested in a n 01 now but like i said im 18 and i go to school full time and i came to the conclusion that 21k was too much for me to spend right now due to my payments would be too high. if i can get that down a lil bit i can get into 1! will i be thouroughly disapointed in picking up a 00 L? wat is the supercharger diff, i know wheels lights shocks drive shaft are dff wat else though that makes that 20 hp diff? i was looking at doing a 6# and most other bolt ons, KEY POINT ...trying to beat a friend with an 01 with 6# predator traction bars and thats pretty much it? would i be abloe to psh same hp as he would with same mods? get back at me that would help LOTS tahnx a bucn

I'm am certainly not disappointed......not sure how you can't be elated as hell driving any year of these trucks.

There isn't that BIG of a difference. I have a 2000 and mine looks and runs as good as new.......and with a few small mods.....faster too.

It must be those new predator traction bars. Damn, why didn't they stick to tuning?

I would stick to school and maybe a grammer class before you buy a Lightning.

And while it doesn't directly offend me, I'm sure there are a few of our Lightning brothers here that don't feel bad that you got "jewed" out of anything.


And FWIW I think once you start modding, the year doesn't matter, as they end up pretty close.
