Question about a new Stall
Question about a new Stall
I weighed my truck and had a new custom stall "2800" made for the truck; what kind of time will I pick up on the '60 and the 1/4?? How should my launching method change? right now I just stomp it off idle and pull 11.2's 11,3's
with my 2400 stall I bring the rpm's up to 1800 and stomp on it pretty hard. I have 30x10.5 15 hoosier radial slick at 15-16psi.
Depending on what tires you are running you may be able to do the same thing, but you will have to experiment a little. However this is a good place to start.

I can't really answer that question, there are a few guys using higher stall converters. Maybee some of them will chime in and tell you how they work. It does seem the 2400 is the most popular converter.

My L get's to the strip about 6 times a year and only driven in late spring -early fall, weigh's 4600, and does some towing/hauling, I know this is a problem w/conv. and ,is why I feel I need all the info you guys can share.
Thanks in advance

but my buddy has a mid-low 3000 stall in his camaro and he can pull both wheels about 6 inches all day.
He does have enough power to leave 10.5 hoosier marks for about 60 feet in he just lays on it from 10 mph.
AND he wants to race me.
