Help! NEed fornt suspension info.

i lowered my truck with some ruslow springs yesterday, and took it to the dealer for an alignment. i used the cam bolts and washers, part numbers i got off of here. my service rep. just called and said that the wrong shims are on there. WTF?

Take it somewhere that knows what they are doing.Unless it is the wrong cam bolt kit maybe?STan

WTF does he mean by 'shims?'

Cam bolts maybe? Did you use the Ford part or the Napa part?

Sounds like Dealer BS or they don't know better.

i used the ford parts.

my truck is on the rack and they said they cannot get it to align within the specs. he said that the cam bolts i have on there are the wrong ones.

make sure he is aligning to lightning specs.With that drop you will get the spec BUT it will be all to get it! If you try the reg pu then I don't think you will make it!Also you can cut the caster back about 1 to 2 degrees and that willhelp getting the camber.
One other thing to look at is make sure the ecentic is not spinning or is loose on the bolt that will cause it to lose over 1 degree of adjustment!Stan

i am pretty sure that is what i used. i cannot find it now on www.fordpartsonline.com the eccentrics were loose on there but i assumed i had the right parts.

well, andbody who plans on doing this try to find the right part numbers. i will look at what i had when i get home, and post it tomorrow as what not to get. apparently using part numbers i found on here, i ended up with bolts and washers that did not go together. the hole on the washer was too big, and it could rotate on the bolt. i thought that didn't seem right when i was installing them, but i was home alone doing the install, and the L is my only car, so i couldn't make a run to the dealer. well, now i know.
