NGK Iridium Plugs???

The stock Motorcraft plugs are made by Denso and are a long life version of their iridium plug. That's why they perform a little better but are more fragile and not as long lasting than stock.

The original plugs that came in 99 & 00 L's and probably a model year or 2 newer had platinum plugs. I don't know if they made a change after that or not. As you can see from the pics that I posted the TR6IX burns pretty cool and it's definitely colder than the stock plugs that came in my 2000 L.
