Angry Don's Bolt got smashed

I am sitting in traffic today at a red light. The light turns green and a start to full foward. All of a sudden I hear the worst noise I have ever heard, and see glass from my mirror heading into the open window of my truck. I am like WTF and am praying it is onlt the mirror.

Well I pull over and this is what I see

Well at least nobody was hurt, but I am a little pissed off. The A hole in a primered 92 explorer won't exchange papers untill a cop shows up. To make it worse the A hole only has liability and no colision insurance.

So now I have to file a insurance report and get the fender, bumper and Mirror replaced.

DAMN!!!....that sucks!!!!

Not sure what I would do if someone hit my truck......I'd be real pi$$ed off for sure.

Oh...and his liability should cover that....make sure you call HIS insurance company.

In my other truck I had, somebody hit me and he only had liability too.....his insurance paid the bill to have it fixed.

Wow, I really hate to see that Don. Luckily, you weren't hurt, and a fender, bumper, and mirror aren't too hard to replace.

Sorry for your bad luck! I thought if it was his fault liability would still cover it??

damn that really really really sucks to hear Don. I would call the guy up and tell him what that thing is going to cost and see if maybe he can bother to pay out of pocket. His insurance is going to drop him like a potato when they find out they have to pay to have a custom panel painted.

It's a shame your truck is damn near perfect, no lemonade to be made. . .

Liability has provision for physical injuries and property damage. His insurance should cover that.

sorry to hear Don....Some people are just ignorant to others around them. At least your o.k. and its nothing that cant be fixed. And speaking from experience...go after his insurance company, and they will pay for it to be replaced...your best bet is to go to a body man you know and trust, and have him do you up an estimate in advance, then bring that to when his insurance companies adjuster looks over the truck present it to him...make sure you have copies....It works cuz when I had an older car they only wanted to give me like 1200 to fix it and I brought my own estimate and they gave me the $2500 my shop quoted me for the repair.

Damn Don, that sucks.

As others have said - at least no one was hurt.

It also looks like all the damage is at the skin level - core support and frame should be OK - for whatever consolation that provides.

Good luck with the claim.

Sorry to read about the accident - fortunately, it looks mostly cosmetic.

It's a shame your paint guy is gonna have to redo those Boss stripes

Thats too bad Don...seems the more careful we are, the more vunerable we are to accidents. And right before Fords at Etown also..
I sure you will have it back to looking sharp in no time.
take care

That sucks Don. Too bad he didn't try to run, he'd have gotten a real surprise!
