the secret to low low time is a convertor with a higher stall.

If you ahve a stock tranny, expect to get a good 60' time rarely.

On a stock trany you need to "FLASH" the convertor (make it lock up) ASAP after hitting the gas.

There are a lot of disputes on how to do this, so I'll let others chime in.

I've got a 2400 PI from JLP and mine still are around 1.9 with hoosiers

Which QTP's are you running, how wide are your rims, and what PSI are you running in your slicks?? Most people run about 16 psi cold.

Also when you launch, how hard are you mashing the gas pedel to the floor. I have found with mods like you have it isn't so much what rpm you launch at, but how hard you mash the gas. It is a fine line between bogging off the line and spinning the tires.

I asume you have a stock converter, so I would start at around 1000-1200 rpms. You have to experiment a little as all trucks are a little different.
