I bought an Apten ported blower from a guy that was trading his truck in on a Cobra, the blower came with two pulleys, the one thats on it now is stock size, the other pulley is a 2.760 size, how much boost will this pulley add (1 or 2 pounds ?), I have a 4lb lower on my truck now and with the ported blower im guessing im around 14-15 pounds of boost, would it be safe to add the 2.760 pulley ?, how much boost do you think I will see ?

I used that same combo, with the magnum powers; get it dyno tuned with pleanty of fuel you will be ok, do not go over red line! 15-16 lbs of boost will be about right. assing a bit of 110 is always safe insurence.

 

A 2.80 upper is supposed to give you 2# more but it's more like 1-1 1\2. So, maybe your us a true 2# or a tad more.

 

Go for it as long as you get a chip tuned for it with lots of fuel. I ran that size upper with a 4lb lower with a ported s/c for a month or so but i took it off to spray the truck. Might want to invest in a AUX idler i smoked a belt in that month i had the 2.76 on.

 

The blower came with a metco idler pulley, so I shouldn`t have any problems with the belt slipping. (I hope)
