Talking Dropped The Lightning!

Well, it took almost all weekend, but it's done. I dropped the L using Eibach 1" springs and their 3" hangers. The hangers were a major PITA! But it was definitely worth all the trouble. Here are my results:

I used an angle grinder, a drill and a good ol' hammer and punch to smack out the rivets. And just after I adjusted the pinion angle and set her down off the jack stands, my friend comes over to check it out and says, "by the way, I just got a new air hammer and......" His last known whereabouts are officially unknown.

So you used Eibach springs huh? Be prepared to replace those within a year. People say they give out under the weight of the truck.

I used the hangers because I might take it lower later. Therefore I can still use the shackles. I wanted the leafs to stay somewhat level (when I drop it later) and I wanted to get the hard part out of the way first.

No plans for new shocks now. It handles great! I had it aligned to "owner preferred" specs. I think that helped too.

Looks good brother, I'm about to put on JLP drop shackles, had them for a while, just haven't gotten around to getting them on.
