Cool Cool burnout video

Hey guys, I don't post here much but I've been lurking for years. I had a new set of tires put on but before I did I thought I would finish off the old ones. It's about 50 seconds of bleach-enhanced, tire-melting fun. This is a stock '03 with a few minor cosmetic things done to it and a Silver Bullet cat-back exhaust. Enjoy! (right click and save, quicktime is needed to view the vid)

Let me know if this doesn't work.

I did take pictures of the aftermath but unfortunately they're on my external hard drive that crapped-out on me, hopefully SmartDisk will be able to recover some of the stuff I have on there when I send it to get fixed. Some of the aftermath is still in my wheel-wells, I even had rubber on my tailgate!! Smoke'em if you got'em...

Can't wait to do that to my F1's if they ever wear out. Unfortunately they have 22k miles and they still have plenty of tread so it won't be anytime soon. Anyway, nice vid!

Cool, did you need to replace your brake pads after that?

My brakes are fine but they sure did get warm, you could smell them pretty good and the rims themselves even got pretty warm. It's certainly not something you want to do very often... that's why I made sure I got it on video. The pads still have lots of life, I should hope so considering I only have about 13k on the truck.... I'm working on getting a little more life out of this next set (sadly, no more tire melting until these are done). I just can't get enough of the sound of that exhaust!

Watching that vid really makes me miss my truck, I'm working in New Iberia, Louisiana until X-mas. Chitty.

brahmus,

I'm working in the Bayou pipe yard at the Iberia port (Lewis St. exit off of 90). We're doing ultrasonic weld inspection on some pre-fab lengths of pipe before they get shipped out in the Gulf. So far so good, had a pretty good time at the sugar cane festival a couple weekends ago.

That is funny that is my Sister's boyfriend's mother's side of the family's company. Got all of That?? well i don't have an "L" but i have the motor if you ever want to just listen and look and imagin your back home. I was in houston and didn't get to go to the festival. Are you finding enough to do to keep yourself busy? I see you have a 450f, did you bring it down with you? We go to the motorcross track often. (downsouth or hurricane alley, they change the name to much)

Craziness, ya we're working in Greg Guidry's yard... not sure what the whole connection to Bayou is, I haven't asked many questions. Thanks for the offer to see your truck, it sounds like my dream winter truck... who wouldn't want a lifted Lightning-powered supercrew ? I'm only here until Friday though then it's off to Toronto. As for stuff to do here, I haven't found all that much... 2 for 1 drinks at Chili's across the street though so that's alright. No the quad's not here, my company flies me back and forth from Canada so she sits and waits for me at home. Anyhow, gotta get back out to the pipe to run a few more welds. Let me know if you want to meet up for a drink dude, wouldn't mind seeing your creation. Cheers!

,Marc
