I'm not the original owner and bought my '99 L with a faded, stained bedliner.

Can I remove it?

If not, will a bed rug fit w/ a spray in already done?

Can another spray in liner be sprayed over it? <-- not what I want to do, just wondering.

yes you can remove them.. go to your local bedliner shop, they will have the chemicals needed for this nasty process... be aware, if you choose to do this yourself, it will be a HUGE mess.

Before applying a spray on bed liner they rough up the bed. I think you would be better off with another spray on bedliner.

 

Id put a bedrug right over it.

they sand the bed before spraying.

You will halfto repaint the bed.

 

X3 RUG it, just smooth out the small areas that the velcro has to stick to and it's over in an hour, or less, no mess.

I put the bedrug right over my spay-in bedliner as well.. but to answer your question.. the bed will need to be re-painted once removed.. so as a suggestion bedrug is worth the money

 

I am glad to here about putting the Bedrug over the spray ins. I got mine from the dealer with one and regreted it after I ordered my bed cover that is carpeted. I asked a couple people that sold them and they said it would not stick blah,blah. If its just a matter of sanding down the velcro points and cleaning it up then that is cool. So cool I ordered one today. Hope it goes well at install time then I will be a happy camper.

 

Do I understand correctly that you can have a new spray in applied right over the old spray in?
