Rich, that freakin seat is unbelievably heavy. I had mine out this weekend, to install the console, and cut up the stock piece, and was floored by the weight of everything.

I think this winter instead of adding power I'm going to put myself and the truck on a diet.

well if you take too much off you'll be in the 11's and need to add a few pounds (roll cage)

Lets hope so! Donno though. 11.99 is a long ways away from a 12.40 w/o adding power.

I'm sure you can shave 400+ lbs. of weight, but I don't know how cost effective it would be.
Removing the hitch, spare, spare winch would be the beginning.

Rollpan to replace the stock bumper will net you some savings as well.

One racing seat on manual brackets (no heavy electric motor under the driver's seat and that damned heavy seat bracket), chucking the stock seats out...that'll save you a lot too.

Lose the toneau, tailgate, Bedrug, and stereo stuff and you may be in the 11s!

The 12.40 was w/o front swaybar, pass seat, hitch, spare, tailgate, & car jack. FYI

In that case, I suggest removing the bed assembly, all the glass, and going with some Bogarts.
