Re: wow
i already tried that and got 'nothing wrong with it when i had it' response.
This ported blower fiasco should be taken offline before it polutes this post........not that there is anything positive in this post, until the "all fixed" thread arrives

There's never a suicide bomber around when you need one
On a serious note, there is just no excuse for this bullshlt...........it's outrageous . When a man spends his hard earned money on something, then he should damn well get what he paid for and If he doesn't, well that's just outrageous.
Now if you want resolution your forced to take it through the legal system...yet again spending more money and time which is simply outrageous.
Just reading your posts pisses me the ***** off!!!!! You can put me in the same category as jimkalfakis....if this was me this happened to I would be in jail right now because this is just outrageous!
Well, at least now you know why they are called
"OUTRAGEOUS PERFORMANCE"

SOMEONES GOT SOME EXPLAINING TO DOOOO!!
"The speed business is uglier than most things. It is normally perceived as some kind of cruel and shallow money trench through the heart of the automotive industry, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free and good men die like dogs, for no good reason." --Hunter S. Do not buy that $#!t of no warranty.
I had a 440 cid small block built for our SQ car. The guy torqued the rod bolts to 75. Thay called for 95 and after a 60ft shot, a full low gear shut down to look at the plugs we was going to let it go. It did let go before it got got to 2nd gear. It had a bent up oil pan with a rod and bolts in the bottom of it. I called them an they said it was from detonation. I told them that I had ran a fuel Ing. system for about five years. I also had a crew man that had ran one for 15 years are more. They then put that no warranty $#!t out to me.
A judge let them know that it was not the parts or the race that had gone wrong. It was them and they had to pay for it. Like he told them if you just do a bad job then it will fall apart. You think you can do that and people will keep comeing back to you so you can do it one more time. That will not work because the parts did not go bad it was your work. You have to give warranty on your work. Not the parts.
So parts or motor has no warranty if they brake. If it falls apart or in your case it should have a warranty. It was never ran and was comeing apart. It was not the motor it was the tune. A judge will probable tell him that he can not use other people to learn on.

I had a good low miles blower ported with the same/very similar porting that many on here run. The rotors were in good shape, and so were all the bearings. It had new fluid too. I ran it for a couple thousand miles with no problems(I can have people attest to that from around here) I had it on the dyno, and in the middle of the FL summer it made 439/513 SAE; actual #'s were in the 465/530 range. And this was with a #4 lower/stock upper safe tune 11.7 across the board. It is/was underpowered for me because I wanted more. I sold it, to buy at MP blower(that is a story all to itself) Now, that's off, and a KB is on the truck. Compared to a KB a ported Eaton is an "underpowered blower"
Crued; you had contact me weeks after you bought the blower and said it was making somekindof noise. I mentioned that I thought the upper plumn bolts might be TQ'ed in a weird sequence and have it in a bind becuase I had seen that on a friends truck. That was the very last I heard from you. Have you been running the blower on your truck? Had it gave you problems? Lets here it; you obviously have something to pick with me.
SVT F150; I am sorry this got started in your topic.
Casey,
Not to get involved in your business, but take a look at your post. Specifically the quote "underpowered ported one". The way your post reads, it could be taken as the port job was poorly done. In fact when I first read your post I thought you either purchased a ported blower that didn't perform as it should or sent a blower off for porting and when you got it back, the port job was crap and it didn't meet your expectations.
Now I read this:
After reading this it's clear to me that the Eaton, even with it ported, wasn't enough blower for your application, so you went with the KB. If it took a KB to meet your needs then no ported Eaton (no matter how good the port is) will suffice in your application. IMHO this looks like a big misunderstanding to me.
Just my 02

Damn dude; I really feel for you. I have been threw about the same thing as you, but with superchargers for my truck. Starting with a bad stock one, going to a underpowered ported one, then a MP that had to have not one, but two snouts replaced(still not fixed). Add all that to a bunch of vendor lies, and problems. I was ready to demod and sell the truck; it got that bad several times.
But, I got a KB on it now and it is running great; pulled a 7.55@91.5 out of it last night and I am loving the truck again. Get it fixed, and you will fall in love with it again.

Damnit Mat, I'm sorry to hear all this. That really disappoints me that Tommy would treat you in such a way. That's absolutely rediculous, and I hope you have some sort of recourse for all of the BS he's put you through.
Makes me glad as hell, I didn't have him build me one(which I ALMOST did). I was wondering what was up, because I knew he had built you a motor, and I had seen so little of you on here.
He should be thankful to you for giving him as much time as you did to make it right. I hope everything works out OK for ya. Goodluck bro!
Take Care,
Rob

I seen this post yesterday and did not want to come on here and just have a he said she said debate and argument on the internet. What I will say is that everyting you paid for you got. I know you had questioned the balancer and I have both the stock and the one that broke here for viewing. I can also send pics if you would like. I will be the first to say that Matt has been very patient with the timeline this truck has taken. I will also say that his truck was one of the first trucks we did and took way longer than it should have. We are now bringing trucks in and sending them out the same week. When Matt had told me that it was on JDM's dyno and filling the room with smoke I told him to bring it down and I would get it fixed. Jim had told me that it seemed like a valve guide problem. When the truck came to us the heads were the first thing to be checked. Being that Matt's truck was the first truck we helicoiled the spark plug holes I pulled them out and replaced them with Big Sert inserts so they would not be a problem (if they were). I put the truck back together and started tuning it. The truck was running great but started to smoke on WOT as Matt told me he had seen. I called Matt and told him that the truck was running great but ity is blowing smoke. I told him that I would pull and replace the motor. Upon pulling the motor it was found that the cylinders were 2 to 5 thou out of round. I had called Matt and told him what was found and asked him if the truck was ran hard. He had told me no but my machinest has told me that the motor was built perfect and did not see anything wrong except this problem. I told Matt that I would eat this and put a new motor in the truck. Matt picked the truck up and told me that it was running great! He brought it to the dyno on the street file and put down 581.8 HP and 689 TQ SAE #s (I have the dyno sheet for anyone wanting it). A few days later Matt called me telling me he was stuck on the side of the road with the balancer broken. I was accused of not tightening the bolt. I can tell you this, it was tight and I have been told that with the aftermarket SFI balancer and large lower pulleys a second keyway should be installed. I felt bad and told Matt I would do the repair for the parts and I would do the labor for nothing. This is where we are now. At tis point I told him to have someone pull the motor apart and find tha cause. If it was because the motor was done wrong or a part was bad that I would pay for the product repair.

I feel your pain Mat
