threw 3 codes last night

0125, 0306, 0316

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

last week I had 0306 and 0316: I change all my plugs and swapped around coilpacs and the same code just came back.

Only 2 more weeks of dealing with this!! Just want to make sure it does not throw a code when I am dropping it off for the trade in.

316???

the 125 usually is because your temp sensor is n/g, or your thermostat is stuck,...........or if your coolant was low.

The 306 is your engine misfire code.

I can't find anything for 316.

This **** sucks but i'm not giving up on my truck. I have all winter to figure it out. And it's gotta be something stupid

306 and 316 are both misfire codes.

I think I ruled out bad plugs and bad coil pacs. What else could be causing only one cylinder to be misfiring? Unless I have damage to the wire harness I do not think it is the coil pacs.

yeah

i'm thinking that you have a problem in the harness going to that cylinder. Have you gotten the 125 code before??? If so, see if you can check the wiring diagram and see if the wires that run from the coil pack run anywhere near the temp sensor wires. If so, they could be melted/fused or broken.

I'm telling. I have dreams about what is wrong with my truck. It seems to run fine now except for the fact that you can hear it running rougher at idle and you can hear the stumble at 1200 rpms. Two different tunes and it still does it.

Did they already test drive your truck?? If so, then they probably won't again. Just clear the codes when you get there.

misfire

are you sure 316 is a misfire. My info only goes up to 314. Maybe it's a ford specific code or something.

301-312 is cylinder specific misifire. 313 is a low fuel misfire, and 314 is an uspecified misfire.

they did not test drive it yet. The code takes awhile to come back though. I guess I will unplug the battery across the street before i drop it off
