Did you do a "walkaround" your truck with the Service Advisor when you dropped it off? Most dealerships make this a practice (like you sometimes do when you sign for a rental car), and mark the sheet with any cosmetic blemishes. Some dealerships have big signs saying "If your SA doesnt do a walkaround your vehicle and check your fluids, your next oil change is free (ask management for details)" blah blah blah.

Of course, your gouge is going to cost more than some oil change. Anyway, if you didnt do a walkaround, whatever you do, DONT TRY AND FIX / BUFF OUT the gouge! If it looks "fresh" (ie, flakes still there, you know), I would take it in and see what they say. However, you should always do a walkaround with the SA when you drop your vehicle off. Its tough to have them fix something AFTER you've left the lot.

I wish you well in getting them to fix it if they did the damage.

Well Blue, if he said come in, you may be in luck. Hopefully they will make it right. But going forward, ALWAYS do a walk around with the SA next time you turn your keys over to them for ANYTHING.

Best of luck.

I hope they take care of you as they should!

I have a co-worker who puts masking tape on the bottom of his ground effects every time he takes it in to see if they hit any thing. He has a Saleen that is just bad azzzz.
