What would you buy?

I am getting a list of stuff, possibly in the next month. The list includes 4# pulley and belt, accufab single blade tb, Zex wet kit and purge kit, custom predator tune for that stuff, a set of denso 24's, c&l inlet pipe. My question is this. Would you guys drop the happy gas, and go with a set of stage 2 cams instead? Or would you keep the nitrous, and get rid of the throttle body and still get the cams?

I would say it kinda depends on how you use the truck. I tend to drive easy and pretty much only go WOT at the track. So for me the NOS route I think to be in my future.

If you use heavy throttle quite often I think the heads/cam route might be better.

Go nitrous and cams. Not sure many people have ran cams in a stock block mid 400 rwhp truck. I plan on trying it before i go built with my magnum powers mihgt even keep a 35 shot on here

Well, the wife said I could have 2 grand after we sell the house. I can't get the cams and nitrous, wish I could. I guess the gas is the way I am gonna go. From what I have found in my research, most people with aftermarket cam sets have built engines. Thanks guys.

I'd get a set of fully built heads.
Patriot heads

Course with tuning and install it's gonna be well over 2k. You could always sell you PI heads to make up the difference.

Drop the nos and the cams, and port that blower. And get an FTVB if you dont have one.

The only cams that will get you the most benefit for nitrous are nitrous specific cams. The drawback is you will be down on performance off nitrous. The best bet for street applications is staying with a standard cam.

Would stage II cams be dangerous on a stock block with added boost?
