Sending my truck to Dante at Modular Performance

After pricing several vendors I've decided to send my truck down to San Diego to Dante to have a motor built. He uses the higher dollar billet rods, cranks, etc. which makes me feel better. He's also much closer to me if there was an issue.

Hoping for 560-570 rwhp on the street tune. Getting one of his converters too. The truck should be a completely different animal when I get it back.

Cool thing is you already have the blower to make insane power. You gonna upgrade your fuel system? Does the engine builder at least warranty again bearing spinnage (is that a word?)?

Yes, he's doing a full fuel upgrade; dual pumps, larger filter, and 60# injectors. That was a must as that's how I killed the present engine.

From what I've heard from his customers he's a stand-up guy, so I don't expect any problems. I just felt the better parts gives me a little more strength plus they're much lighter than the stock ones or those used by most of the vendors. I also am having him do the ceramic barrier coating on the pistons, I do all my blower motors with that. Big difference in how much timing and boost you can run when you're building a pump gas setup. Not sure why more people don't use them. I've had great luck with it.

You wont be disappointed...

Dante built my motor, and even after lifting a head on my 10.38 pass, I have since managed to get the truck to run 130.77mph (With a DA of 6,000+ ft!!) and it still runs/drives fine on the street

Dante is a good guy.

Thanks Dale, I was hoping you'd pop in! Biggest difference is I'm trying to go fast with the stock exhaust. I'm sure it's going to cost me power, but I want to keep the truck legal. Want to be able to run 11's even in the heat once it's sorted. Then deciding if I want to put a cage in it.

I have a Dante motor planned for the near future too
I bought a KB last month, so now I just need Dante to build a motor for it.

Dale, have you tried the System 1 filter yet?

I just got one of his convertors, started the install last evening. Those upper trans bolts are hard to get to, had to get some brews to calm down. I talked to Dante for a while, good guy and got alot of info from him. Im doing a built motor next summer (hopefully) and going to him for it. Im looking for mid to low 11s, like a street and strip L, nothing to crazy.

I only have the Lightning and the twin turbo project right now, sold the others. I do like performance, and too much is just right in my opinion!

Thanks for the nice words.
