Cutouts for Dummies

I know the topic has been discused a few times, but my searches have not provided the info I've been looking for. I need a Comprehensive explanation for dummies. I would like to know where we can install the cutouts...i.e. before the cats, after the cats, remove the cats. There is not alot of working room under the truck around the cats. and what do I do about the o2 sensors if the cats are gone. Please help, you all are the experts.

PS any pictures would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Alex

Andy aka Team SLS will be able to help you the best on this subject.

But from what I know.

You'll wanna do cutouts right after the headers so right before the cats (andy said theres barely in space there but thats the ideal place)

I believe andy also put in new o2 bungs also.

If you go after cat with cutouts you're gonna have restriction, might as well keep muffler setup instead ya know?

best way to go would buy new high flow cats/mid's and compare them with the stock catpipes. See how it all lines up then bring the new cats to a shop to weld on new pipes that branch off to place the cutout at. And the o2 sensor well somewhere.

what cutouts u doing? electric a la QTEC or manual?

Thanks UNOID,

I’m thinking about going with the Mcords with 2 switches. I have not ruled out the QTEC, but then the prices go up some. The reason I was thinking about putting them in after the cats is because I really only want to be able to lay out some nasty sound. That said with the cats still on will I get more aggressive sound by just cutting out the mufflers.
