Race Weight
What is your typical race weight for your L?
I was a bit surprised Friday night when I saw 4990 with me in the truck.
This was raced in full street trim:
235 pounds of Herb (me, sorry Rob)
1/2 Tank
Snuglid
Bedrug
Tailgate
Spare
Jack
Passenger Seat
Dewalt Hammerdrill
1/8" Hardboard on bed floor (to protect the bed protection)
Klien Tool Bag
Hardhat
Cab full of Crap (Maglight, atlas, maps, tiedown straps, etc)

But Seriously...
Aside from the always fun 'Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers' retrospective...
I would like to know what kind of vehicle weight you guys are running at the strip.

Anyone else care to weigh-in on this discussion?
Last night I picked up 5 lbs - raced at 4995.
I am curious to see what others weigh relative to their times. I'd like to judge if the diet is worth the hassle.

Last year(yup, haven't been to the track in a year!) my truck weighed 4,998LBs with EVERYTHING on the truck my fat azz behind the wheel. Got the Bogarts the last time out, probably saved about 100LBs with them I am guessing. So I probably weighed in at around 4890LBs when I went 11.37, damn if I did what some of you guys do, I might have gone a 10 on a 100% stock long block! LoL. The only thing that is gonna go on a diet though is myself, not the truck. I just don't believe in that stuff. Maybe my mind will change. -Mat-
Thanks Mat,
That has always been my reasoning as well. I am wanting to make sure I'm not chasing an unrealistic goal but running at full weight.
Hell, last night I ran with my work laptop, my tool bag and about 40 lbs worth of Data Industrial liquid flowmeters for work?
Street trim all the way baby!

Good God Mike, Imagine that thing running at 4400lbs
I've seen your truck hook of the line too - its like the motor hasn't been told what the truck weighs!
I guess I'm gonna stick to my instincts and run it like I brung it. Once I get traction - the HP hunt is on!
I'd eventually like to get a lower 12 consistently (OK maybe high 11s), but my truck is a Daily driver, so I MUST keep the relaiblity up.
