I havent saw any dynos on the new upper intake but i know for a fact the C&L inlet pipe hurts on the dyno. A local L had the pipe and his stock he made 1st pull with stock 398 2nd pull C&L 390 3rd Put stock back on 398 again. Take it for what it is worth

Quote from C&L.

The first dyno test, which was performed on a mildly modified Lightning with typical bolt-ons showed an improvement of 21 rear wheel horsepower and 30 ft/lbs of torque over the stock setup!

I guess my smooth plenum won't be so special anymore
Don't bet on that one...judging by the polish job on my C&L intake tube the plenum's not going to be that cool. C&L seems to use the 'insert Third-World country's name here' casting and it's porous as shyte! It looks decent from a distance but as you get closer to it you can see all of the pits from the voids in the casting. There's no way to polish all of them out without bringing out others...have to assume the plenum will be the same way.

Hey Pete how are you , getting ready forJean? Just one question about the new plenum, if it is installed, do we need to re-tune the computer?

Just got mine back from the polisher (a friend of mine.) And before anyone asks, he said he is not interested in ever polishing any C&L products again. The 1st pic is one Speedin Bob took. It shows you what the surface started out looking like. It turned out better than I thought it would. I am happy!
