Just a joke!
I know, but just didn't want my L to look like every other L with the same regular billet stuff at shows. Who knows, maybe later I'll join you all and get those anyways if I get tired looking at my engine bay, not yet. We're always experimenting with our trucks anyway, it's an addiction and it can get expensive real fast but we all love the pain right.

Does the chrome stuff you use actually stay inside the blower pulley? I would imagine the stuff would eventially get spun out.
Could be dangerous if you standing infront of the truck with the engine running and the hood open.

Hey RedLightn 02,

Do you notice any lift when your goin at highway speeds? I added this scoop to my Screw a few months ago, and I'm noticing it starting to lift during highway speeds. Just curious.

Do you have the supplied mesh screen on the scoop, behind your chrome cross on it? how did you make that part?

Looks great.

First off it's not chrome tape, it's chrome moulding , it costs a little more than chrome tape and I'm not about to spend $300 for a billet grill, $300-$500 for a new hood, $500 for engine billet accessories, $500 for a hard tonneau with a spoiler, $200-$300 for supposedly cold air open systems and $100 billet fuel door. I guess you can say that my truck is a study in Creative Economic Illusion and gets the job done on the street with lots of thumbs-up, so far I think it's coming along OK, hey second in a my first show isn't too shabby too, it's certainly unique, will everyone like it, no, but that's why I, and I guess everyone else here like to show the new stuff they have just put on their trucks and if it helps just one person to develop an idea, hey great, remember not everyone has a big budget to go all out on bling.
One other thing I must say is that criticism is always welcome because that's the only way we can have a feel for what's not working on our trucks when we add something, anyways here are some of the stuff that I've done so far, 90% done at home.

$39 fuel door with home made bolt and chrome accents on
steps.

Engine accessories, about $40.

Rear spoiler $30.

the rear spoiler has got to go... besides the, good job

No, there's absolutely no lift yet and already tested it out at 120, mine is made of fiberglass and there is a urethane version. There was no mesh supplied with it and probably wouldn't use it because it doesn't fit the rest of the grill which is what I wanted. Good old chrome wheel moulding was used to imitate the grill. I placed the bottom moulding directly on the hood in front of the bottom of the scoop to help prevent high speed air from going under it and lifting the scoop.

No it never spun out and I don't think it would but the other day I took it off and it gave me a rough time to pull it off, it had little stress lines on it plus I didn't want any extra weight on the pulley, not that it weighs a lot. I was looking to get a billet or polished (stock size) pulley, do you know where? The billet pulleys I've seen are all smaller and I wanted stock size. BTW the Krylon Fusion paint for rubber, plastics and anything is holding up really well from the engine heat and it's flexible and no sanding, that's why I like it.

Randy's the man, he'll make you one like I got. Mine is custom made to look identical to a stock pulley but made out of billet.

Billet Pulley
