First Time at the 1/4 Mile

I finally got my '02 L to the strip yesterday. To be honest, that was the first time I had ever gone down the 1/4 mile in any vehicle. Here are my results:

Stock Tires & Stock Tune - 13.631 @ 101.55

Borrowed Slicks & Chip Installed - 13.579 @ 103.23

These runs were made in 75+ degrees heat.

I tried to run with the chip and stock tires, but I had no chance of hooking up at the line. Spun hard. All said, I am pretty pleased with my results being that I am running the factory boost levels and I am a rookie at the tree.

Great time for your first run and being stock, hopefully when I do go to the track my time will be just as good, I have a feeling it will, my truck is also stock and is running too good not to have a good time.

Now that my motor is back under the hood , I may go back to 41 on Oct. 16(?) for the SVT thing.

I went to IRP on the 14th. but only got 2 runs in. Had to sit at the light for 25 min. for them to clean up oil on the track, but when I made that 2nd run it felt like the truck was running on ice.
So we went home after that.

I ran for the first time last night and did a 13.6 with a 2.0 60' at 100.3 miles an hour. I have a #2 lower and a tune from RWTD. I also have a 100 lb bedcover and 20"s. My truck wieghed in at 4,973 Lbs. I hopefully can put a #4 lower and get into the low 13's or even high 12"s. Temp was about 90 degrees. It was my first time ever to run anything. Any ideas on how to improve would be great.

You call 75+ degrees heat? Try down here in Florida where it gets 90+. Good numbers!

I second that...

I ran a 13.58 @ 100 flat here in gville-10 mph headwind, k&n filter dropped in and spare removed. 80 degrees at the time.
