I am new to this forum, this is my first post. I am lookin to buy an 01 lightning, I am interested in and just had a few questions.

The one I am lookin at has a few mods, AirRaid Intake, Flowmaster Exhaust, Performance chip and a lowering kit. Besides that its a Stock Black 01, with no window tint and a cloth tonneau. I have driven it and love it.

I am just wondering about the lifestyle of a Lightning owner.

My friend has a harley, and I have heard about harley life styles. By that I mean mostly girls. Im not getting the car to get girls, but its kinda nice to drive something the girls like.

I have heard things like "buy this harley, and if you do not call me back within 24 hours ranting how much you love it, i will buy it back off you" and "I was with my gf, and on the side walk a couple girls yelled from across the street for me to roll down my window, so i did. then they yelled ' why are you with that bitch when you can roll with us"

Basically stating the Harley is an *** magnet.

I like driving something nicer, above avertage. I like the attention cars get. I have driven beaters and mini vans before so its not like i cant drive nothin else, but I have decided to reward myself now. Im 23 and single.

Well... It's not really about hooking up with chicks, but I remember the first night I had my bedrug, and my wife told me she wanted to break it in properly.

Course, now I'm divorcing her crazy ***, so...maybe it attracts the wrong type. Who knows, but that was a fun night.

 

no doubt ! its not the main focus, but its nice to have something that works for all aspects...

I can occasionally convince my Harley buddies to ride, at least a little, though it cuts into their polishing time. They think 100 miles is a big day. They do have instant rapport with other Harley owners... "Ohhhhh... is that an '04 DynaSlideGlide? Do you have the chrome logo covers for the chrome bolts on the chrome cover for the chrome swingarm? Yeah, I went with the chrome shift arm that has "I'm Billy BadAzz" laser-etched on it, but I have a hand-tooled leather cover over it right now... the cover matches my HD bar and shield belt with the authentic PanHeadtm belt-buckle holding up my MotorCompany Softail Custom jeans...".

But I'll probably buy one when I'm old.

If those are the type of girls you're hoping to attract, save the cost of a Lightning and just wrap three or four twenty dollar bills around a gallon bottle of Zima...

Chicks uh? Well if you are looking for girls who only date based on wha you drive the L isnt a bad truck to have. But you better have another car. Most teenagers / early twenty girls wont appreciate it. My gf thinks I wasted my money. On the other hand though her mom and all the moms friends want rides in it. Ill give them rides

If you want to impress the girls go buy a used jag.

If you're buying a truck just to get laid, you've got some problems.

 

Virtually every chick I've ever taken out in either an L or anything else I've ever driven that had some major horsepower has basically done the same thing:
Scream
Grab Something (only to hold on, darn it!)
Yell for me to stop proving that I'm really an A##hole
It's rare to find one that enjoys it.....99% of chicks don't even know what an L is.

Im not buying it TO get laid... So really, dude, dont start dissin people you dont know sayin i got issues.

And yes, i was talkin about harley F150.... not the motor bike.

Point is, The world is getting more materialistic. Girls (where im from) do pay attention to guys with nicer cars, and have money.
THAT is not the point.

I have never had a problem with getting laid, or anything like that. However..I figure id step it up a notch.

Im sorry, but If you guys cant relate, then its sad. I love rollin in my buddies cars, cars like Escalades, Harleys, Denali's etc..

Girls see it on TV, and want it. Groupie type chicks. You guys have not had that feeling of "wow, omg, your truck is so nice"... man..

Its ONE asset among many. A good body, a great attitude, assetts and money. I figure a good car will just make you one of the best bachelors out there. I may be obssesed with this ****, I will admit, but I like nice things....

I was just wondering what kinda luck the lightning brought with them. I guess no one here understands.
