Whats under your hood

Vinnie I got some questions about your shaker hood,
Does it come with a new intake box or does it just use what ever you have?
The reason I ask is because I plan on getting one in 6 months, maybe a little longer and was planning on for now getting a cold air intake. I didnt want to spend 200 dollars on one plus the cost of a new box, if I am just going to have to take it off when I get the shaker. If that is the case Ill just make one using parts from work.
It kinda seems pointless having a shaker hood and a cold air intake since thats what a shaker is. Would that be considered over-kill?
