Just got my SC back from Apten after the Sept special price!!

It took exactly 2 weeks, door to door. Transit time from me to Apten is 2 days. So they had it 10 days minus 4 days for the weekends. So 6 days turn aorund time for me. I'm taking a break from the install now. Those back bolts for the SC are a real BITCH!! That was 45 minutes in itself!! I'm going back out now to finish up. Post results in a while!

I just bought an Apten ported blower from someone that was trading there in, its by far one of the best mods you can do to your truck. after the blower was installed on my truck I could notice a difference, but after a couple of days of driving my truck and the computer adjusting to the cooler intake air, that when I really noticed a nice gain in power. deffinatly worth the money.

Well, I just got back from a test drive. It feels ebtter for sure and now I'm showing 17 pounds of boost on my Autometer guage versus the previous 14-15??? I was under the impression that I'd lose boost due to the higher flow efficiency? Oh well, I'm not complaining, cant wait till my #6 pulley and new tune gets here from PSP!!

You're seeing 17 #'s of boost with a 4 lb pulley?

Sounds like the guage isn't reading correctly.

I have the Autometer guage "T"'d in with the stock guage, I wonder if this is causing a false reading?

Nope, that is perfectly fine. What temperature outside was it when you saw 17 # ?

So you were seeing 14-15 before the port?

Mine only shows 12 with a 4 lb pulley, with an Autometer gauge. Back when it was stock I was only seeing 7-8 also.

Yea, 14 pounds before port. I know it sounds crazy, stock with just CAI was 10. The stock guage even read 10 at that time as well. Maybe the guage is off, I dont see how, I have the Autometer Lunar series. If it is off, It's still useful as a comparison guage, like from stock SC to Apten like I did. None the less, with the Apten I saw an increase in boost, weather the guage is accurate on the amount or not.

Right on man! Did you notice a big set of the pants improvement? Does the Apten scream a little louder?

You can deffinatly notice a seat of the pants difference, and the blower is alot louder after its ported, words can`t discribe it - you must experiance it.

Yes, its loud as SH$T now. It feels quit a stronger all the way through the RPM range really, mainly in the mid range I'd say. If I start off from a stand still and just stomp it, it spins up so fast that it shift into 2nd in the blink off an eye. Of course, I've been driving a Jeep wrangler for the last 2 weeks, so the Lightning feels like a straight rocket **** right now, LOL The track time will tell the tail. I just got an email from Sal at PSP saying that my pulley is on the way and he also included my new tune in the email. Now just to install the tractions bars and I'll be ready for the track.
