DOHC Lightning

Some of the guys over on modularfords.com are trying to get enough people together to cast an intake manifold that would allow Lightning owners to bolt their stock blower and intercooler to the DOHC heads.

They are trying to get 30 people together with the intakes costing 1000.00. This is a chance for all of us to have Ford GT power. They already have a company that will cast them if we can get 30 preople together.

How cool would that be a DOHC 5.4L Kenny bell blown Lightning.
Go check it out if you are interested.

I`m not sure but, I believe that the DOHC 5.4L`s put out low torque numbers. Besides, the 5.4L doesn`t like to rev.

The 5.4L DOHC engines are not torque monsters naturally aspirated but torque is not an issue with a roots or twin screw blown blown engines. One of these engines would put out enough torque to fry the rear tires.

These engines will spin over 7000 rpm with good rods. Why would you want to spin a roots/twinscrew blown engine that high anyways?
