Clunk Sound - but not "the clunk"
My new L has a little over 250 miles on it. About 100 miles ago I noticed a clunk sound coming from the steering. If I'm at a stop and move the wheel to the right just a little and sometimes even to the left I hear and feel a clunk. Any ideas of what it could be? Is this normal with the Lightning? I don't remember my '99 making this sound...
Thanks in advance!

It may well be the traditional clunk caused by the slotted holes in the lower control arm attachment. It is not a normal thing and is a function of how tight the lower control arm bolts were to begin with. Mine has 1700 miles and no clunk yet. From what I've read, the tradtional dealer fix seems to be tighten the s**t out of it until it is quiet. You'll probably need the clunk washers eventually, so why not do 'em and see if the problem goes away?
