Hotchkis shocks

just installed the Hotchkis shocks. they are Bilsteins custom valved for Lightnings with the Hotchkis drop kit. the rear shocks have a flexible rubber boot instead of the plastic sleeve. It looks real ugly. Has anyone taken them off, and if so are there any negative effects over time?

Thanks, Aaron

I have the same shocks and I noticed the same thing. It doesn't bother me, but If you really don't like the boot you can buy different color boots from aftermarket shock companies.

Try this: http://www.superlift.com/default.asp?action=seen_promo

Go to "PRODUCTS" and click on "Shocks and Stabilizers". Scroll down you'll see what I'm talking about.

Hope this helps. If you can't find someone to order them from, let me know, I'll see what I can do.

chris,

thanks for the reply, but it's not so much the color as I just don't like the boot at all. It doesn't even sit straight, and now that the shock sits upside down compared to the stockers, it's even more noticable. I'd like to just take them off altogether.

On a different note... the shocks feel great!
