need help going to track tomorrow
need help going to track tomorrow
Has any one takin off there trailer hitch and gone to the track the truck is on the verge of breaking into the 12's on a ram air kit and a e/t street and if i can take off the trailer hitch and the spare tire that would put me where i need to be but i dont want to mess with the traction issuse if ne one has tried this please let me know
I don't know of too many people (besides me) who HAVEN'T taken them off. And remove the tailgate.....
Take them off and launch on your first pass as you normally do. See what kind of 60' you get and adjust from there. You may not have to do anything.

your launch will depend more on track conditions than the weight you removed from the back.........welcome and good luck at the track
post your times...
hitch, spare, and a couple of bolts might as well remove your spare winch, bottle jack..I have never ran with my pass side seat removed and the tail gate but many do...

you wont break into 12's by removing 75 pounds from the rear. Thought the rule of thumb was every 100 lbs is a tenth. At that right you'd be pulling 13.2'ish
just noticed you have e/t streets too and only a 2.0 60ft
I pulled 1.9 60 ft on stock tires you should be able to hit a 1.8 maybe even lower. That in itself will bring you in the 12's

Tell me/us which ET Streets you have, are they 26" or 28" ET Streets??
Tell us what year truck you have, what exactlly you have for mods, what air Pressure you are running in the ET Streets, what RPM are you launching at, and how hard are you getting onto the throttle.
With that info, myself or others can give you some recomendations on how to get lower 60 foot times.
With say a 2001 and up truck, a few bolt ons, and 28" tall slicks you should be pulling around 1.65 60 foot times on a well prepped track.
