HELP !!!
As y'all know, I have the Brembo Gran Tourisimo's on the
front. Well, I think I toasted a bearing. My questions are:
A. Does Brembo just use a turned down FORD Hub?
B. Can you replace the bearing races in the aforesaid
FORD hub? I had heard that you cannot and have to
replace the entore hub.
C. Is it an Expedition hub?
I need to race this weekend at Gingerman and I am running
outta time to get this fixed...
Thanks in Advance,.

Well I did a little "root cause" analysis. It seems the
dust cap was bent enough to allow water into the outboard
bearing and that caused some rusting and contamination
of the grease. Wonder what muscle bound idiot bent them ?
< grin>
Oh well, I just finished redoing the bearings and used the old races
that I couldn't figure out how to press out. I will reassess this after this
weekend.
Thanks to Stan for pointing out the maintenance item. I really
hadn't given it much thought. Now I will do this after every
race weekend.
