Hey everybody i bought 2001 lightning with 18,000 miles on it about a month ago and a week ago the sparkplug blew out the head is this something that has happend befor to anybody.

 

Its a common problem on 99-02 Lightnings, I hope your truck is still under warranty, otherwise its going to be expensive to repair.

 

Yea luckly i was smart and got the extended warranty its been at the dealer for a week now hopefully it will be done this week.

 

Sorry to hear it. I hope your truck is stock. If not, I hope it's at a mod friendly dealer.

I certainly hope the dealer would be taking care of you. I would expect some sort of transportation from them also!
Buying from a dealer is more expensive than a private party, but its reasons like this, that it should be worth it.
I deal with All American in Hackensack NJ, and they have allways been very stand up with me.
I think, thats all I better say about that......hehe

The dealer is oasis ford on rt18 in old bridge. I have a cat back exhaust and they didnt say anything about it or gave me any problems they were just like were goin to have to replace the head and it will take about a week and a half. So im hoping it will be done this week i miss my truck lol. As for them giving me a car i just turned 19 last week so the car would have to be in my parents name so if i need a car i can just take my mom's.
