Ran into a friend on way home from Towers.

On the way home from the Towers cruise I was driving on the FL Turnpike when a white lightning passed me, at first I just thought it was just another L owner, but he slowed down and it was my friend Mr Gadget. We pulled over on an exit to chat and catch up on what's going on with each other. He told me he was on his way home from Gainesville to be with his family because of hurricane 'Ivan the Terrible'. After chatting about a few things we started talking about our L's and what was new, I told him I just purchased from a friend a one piece device (not sure the correct name for it) that has a rubber stopper that is bolted right over the rear end to stop axle hopping and wrapping, pretty cool and not as heavy as two traction bars. Matias also showed me the new traction bars, Moroso trans pan and short antennae he just purchased then I noticed a little tear on the corner of his stock tonneau cover and proceeded to tell him how I used a bungie cord to hook the little tabs to secure the corners. After telling him this he started to open his tonneau cover and at first I didn't know why he was doing this then he called me over to look at some thing he was carrying, as I looked into the bed my eyes stared on something that confused me at first then when he explained what it was I was like WOW.
Let me say this first, it is not up to me to reveal someone else's plans for their L without permission, I will leave that up to Mr Gadget, but I have not seen anybody done this as of yet maybe I'm mistaken, but after telling me his plans for his engine I jokingly said how much horse power are you looking for, 600? and his reply was no.....800, well I know a lot of people are wondering what the hell could it be and let me just dismiss the first guess, no it's not Turbos, as I said I will let him reveal his project if he chooses to, anyways just a little sharing and maybe something to look forward to when Mr Gadget's project is completed, I for one would like to know the results when it's completed.

Later...Bert....AKA.......DA BOLT

I don't know what you're talking about.

It might take me a while but you'll all see it when it's done.

So how great is UM's Formula SAE racecar then?

UF engineering is the best in the state. I didn't worry about stupid football rivalries when I chose where to get an education.

Formula SAE is awesome. I am on the Auburn University team getting my degree in Mechanical Engineering. MISTERGadget is your team competing this year or whenever the next time it is held?
