? before I go to the Dyno
? before I go to the Dyno
Well today may turn out good after all. There is a new Dyno Shop here in my town and I am going to make a base run in a couple of hours. Its $50 fot 3 pulls. And then $75 for a 30min tune, and $100 for a hr of tuning(are these prices the average)
Anyways here is a chance to see what the new truck is putting out stock since over the next couple weeks the goodies start going on.
My question is this. I am cheating a wee bit and installed mu Predator performance tune(stock) to see what it does. OK maybe i should go st8 stock but hell might as well impress them with a "stock" truck before the mods get bolted on. This was my first time using it and heck I had it like three weeks before the truck was delivered so I wanted to check it out and make sure the thing worked. I know I started up the truck for a minute afterwards and the RPM went up a few hundred since when i got it inspected the other day it was about 620 at idle. Is this one of the effects of this "stock" tune with a higher idle? Additionally will they/should they adjust my A/F while Im there or is the stock tune not as aggressive as the pulley tune I keep reading about.
I just don't want to look/sound to much like a cherry for my first visit to the dyno.
What do you all think? Thanks guys.

Since you have 3 pulls try one stock with out the tune, that way you can see the gains. As far as adjusting your A/F, all you can do is change it on the predator +/- 10% I believe. Unless they are a Diablo dealer you wont get anything more out of it. The only one you would be BS'ing if yourself. Get a base number and then go from there...just my $.02....JR
