changing tunes on a SCT 9100

was reading up on how to change tunes with the handheld SCT programmer, and it says you must disconnect the fuel system. I remember them doing this at the dyno, but I just can't remember which fuse it was. Could somebody please tell or show (pic's) me what I need to disconnect? Thanks

I know several people that don't disconnect the fuel system like it tells you to. Don't think you'll hurt anything if don't. I have one and I don't plan on pulling fuses or anything like that to disable the fuel system to load a program.

I think it is a 10 amp fuse and it is in location #10 on the fuse block. There is a diagram you can follow on the bottom of the fuse box lid.

Do what I did. When I found the fuse I marked the top of it with a Sharpie for a quick pull the next time.\

VTSVT, What's with the VT(Vermont)?

I think you need to pull the fuse to keep the battery volts the same. Here is a pic of the fuse box under the hood.

The reason for pulling the fuse, is on returnless fuel systems you don't "flood" the motor.
Our Lightnings have a return on our systems, so the fuel goes back to the tank. The only thing that happens without disableing the fuel system, is the pumps run.

If you are concerned about that, then by all means pull the fuse. I've changed my tune a few times and never pulled the fuse. Do what ever makes you feel comfortable. Guess this is a good time to show you my favorite SCT tune, and soon to be one of SuperChips best sellers
