Explain more about it, does it happen at WOT or when cruising?

What exactly is it doing?

under acceleration, whether it be WOT or partial throttle it goes through 1st changes 2nd still accelerating then slightly hesitates and loses a little rpm and continues accelerating then changes to 3rd.

It's the converter locking up. It's been discussed before. Short of having a tuner work on it, I don't think there's anything you can do.

It is completely normal. As "lurker" said, it is the torque converter locking up in second gear. You will see about a 200 rpm drop at around 3800 rpm (just after the 1-2 shift) at full throttle. It is also present, but not as noticable on part throttle runs.
