Well I just unpacked my 01 style chrome wheels to put on my 03 and they look SHARP! I got a really good price on them and will last me a year ot two until I upgrade to Boze 20X10 Bolts.
OK now the question, One wheel has a small chip and a few small fine scratches on one spoke. Is there something you can do/buy to fix that up a bit?
Overall I am very happy.

If the chrome is chipped, moisture will be able to get between the chrome and the aluminum, and that area will likely degrade (get worse) over time.
I have had chrome plated aluminum wheels in the past, and while they look great, aluminum is not really the best material to chrome in the first place, so you have to treat the wheels as if they are more fragile than normal wheels.
My wheels looked great for at least 3 years, but daily driving took its toll over time.
The problems I had might also have been made worse by lower profile tires than our L' tires -- I had issues with the chrome cracking around the edges of the rims (there is some flexing from potholes & such, the aluminum will flex, the chrome will not...).
Anyway, this led to moisture penetration between the chrome and aluminum, and eventually to flaking of the chrome. (When moisture gets in between the chrome and the aluminum, the aluminum will rust (it gets oxidized, the "rust" looks white), and the rust eventually causes the chrome to delaminate.
That's a long way of saying "send it back" - you will be happier in the long run.
