Longetivity mods?

So far I've had very little problems with my '01 (fog lamps died, condensation on taillights), but as my truck gets older and i notice more noises from below, i have to think, are there any items i can get to really strengthen or replace existing oem parts? I know most people wait until something breaks until they fix it, however, i'd really like to be the opposite.

Aside from performance mods making this thing faster, what are some good mods to make this truck last longer, and help prevent certain items from breaking down?

In other words, i'd like to make the truck built to handle performance racing 500+hp on a consistant basis, but would only be driven off the tracks and without that much extra power over stock.

This might be an unusual request, but the enjoyment i get from driving this thing every day really makes me want to be able to drive this every day!

The only light performance mods that i'm adding to it are a K&N FIPK2 and bassani catback. (mainly for aesthetics)

- Tom

FTVB is the best. It makes you shift faster and it does prolong tranny life
