Wide Band Commander Installed

Even with the bad news of needing to save for a new motor in the next 6 months, I still go my WBC in. It looks great.

Here is view when I take off the fuse cover.

close up view of it

The middle guage is my a/f that came with it.

I think it is a neat a clean looking install. The stock fuse cover fits right over top of it so it's not visible. When you need to get to the fuse, you just unvelcro it and and pull off the inner fuse cover panel. I am talking with Dyno Jet and trying to get a new sticker because you have to install with the sticker upside down to keep it clean looking. If they send me a new sticker, it will look even better.

That looks like a good location. Did you have to extend any wires to mount it there?

I velcroed mine to the White box directly behind the parking brake like another guy on the boards. It looks like your location would make it easier to access the plug for the USB cable needed for logging.

No, we were able to use the wires that came with it... It is a heck of a lot more convienant there and it looks real good.

I got mine from a person who ordered too many on a group purchase and he sold it to me for that price ($390).

Here is the website

Thanks!!! How difficult was it to wire it in to the system??? I’m unsure if I want to justify the $530.00 to be able to read the A/F ratio. One question however, once the A/F ratio has been set, will it wonder, or will it stay in the safe range??

Thanks once more….

Ask me about it, I just got this in too late... I am now looking for $7,200 to build a block because I out 3 valves and 2 rings. My truck is still running well and strong, but the compression and leakdown numbers don't lie. It is worth every dime!!!!!! If I had mine sooner, I wouldn't be here.

Also, please borrow the idea, it looks good, especially now that I got dyno jet to send me a new sticker for the black box so I can make it look right side up.

Hey 35thPony,
Nice install! I think I will use your idea too. Where did you weld the bung on the exhaust?

Sincerely,
Bryan

LOL Gator nice sig

Check out mine!

35thPony, very cool install. I am in the process of fitting the same unit, just had the boss /bung welded in today. Would never have thought of using the fuse box for the Wide Band unit. Great idea
