New Forgeline Wheels!!!

Just put on the Forgeline RS3 3piece wheels with Toyo ProxesST tires. Wheels are 18x9.5 and very lightweight. Centers were custom machined to allow for front hubs on 99 Lightning. Mirror polished finish is perfect. Pictures don't really capture how good the finish is, but I am really happy with the quality!!!

Very nice. Reminds me of my HRE's.

I'm weird because I normally like the FACTORY wheels over MANY aftermarket wheels, particularly on Lightnings. However, those wheels you picked are sharp, and would look good on any L, but especially nice on your Black one.

Nice choice.

Rick,

I've been eyeing those on Forgeline's website. They look awesome on your truck! Did the special machining cost extra? Are they just polished, or is there clearcoat on top of the polished finish?

These are definitely NOT cheap, but a bit cheaper than HRE's.

Great choice!

Forgeline cost

I got the wheels thru Ken Mitchell in CA. The wheel package was about $2900 including lugs. I had to send the wheels back to the manufacturer (The Wheel Source in Dayton OH) when we discovered that the 99 Lightning has a 3 inch bearing cap on the front hubs that the 01 on up F150's don't have. I have the 01 brake upgrade but the hubs are still for a 99. The extra machining was free but the new center caps were 140.00.
Dan: You out bid me on the HRE's and it turns out that it was for the better because those rims would not have fit my year Lightning. I tried to find something close to that look and the Forgelines looked the best!

Wa2FST: The mirror polished finish does not have any clearcoat on it but they are flawless up close. I was amazed at how close to a chrome appearance they have without that bright bling look.

All in all I am really satisfied with the look. Thanks for all the support!!!
