Adjusting Lakewoods?

i've got them on, but the drivers side one is sitting on the spring. the passanger side one is off about 1/8th". the ride is very, very stiff. is it better for racing at the strip if they are actually sitting on the spring, or do they need to off alittle? and where can i purchase extra spacers? what spaceing do you have on yours, driver side? passenger side?
later

They need to be close though, or else they won't stop axle wrap. The only reason you need some space is to keep them from touching over bumps, as this would make your ride a lot more stiff.
