Front/Rear Emblem Swap

Quick one biys,
Anybody swapped out there front/rear emblems for the billet ones that you can get from Stylin Concepts? I was thinking about getting the black billet replacements for front and rear and was wondering how they looked and fit well? Is it a pain in the a** to get the one off the tailgate. Just thought the black/silver billet would look good on the black L.

I got my front emblem from StreetBeatCustoms.com . Billet with a black background.
Here is a pic of the front emblem. Should give you an idea of how it will look on a black L.

I have them on my truck and i think they look awesome. It will take longer to order them than to install them. The back one is easier to install than the front.

Yeah they look smooth on a Blk L. Very stealthy. I ordered the Blk Billet ones from Stylin Concepts this evening. I asked if it was a pain to remove the back one fro the tail gate an dthe guy said i could use fishing line beind the emblem since its 3m behind there and it would not jack up the paint. Does that sound about right? He said it would not hurt to squirt some fluid behind there to ease it off.
I love the look of the silver L production # frame. Do you sell those and do you use the plate off the airbox? I am interested in that touch.
Nice ride and pics. Back In Black Man.
Russ.

You said the front was more of a pain then the front?

do you get the goo gone form WalMart or Pepboys?
is that to get the 3m crap off the tailgate. Will regular 3M work on the new emblem or get the heavy duty stuff. It will look sweet when the black ones are on im sure. Thanks

Question - are there pin holes behind the rear tailgate emblem, or simply flat?

Not sure yet. I have not taken it off. I am supposed to get the emblems by the 15th and then I was going to go for it. If it was flat and the emblem had the plastic prongs I was going to do a clean cut with the Dremel and make sure it was smooth before I did the deed.

I covered my tailgate emblem with this SVT sticker. Everyone asks where I bought the custom emblem, but its just a sticker that took about 2 minutes to put on. Has been on there more than a year and still looks sweet. May be worth checking out.....$4 bucks compared to $40+ for a billet piece. It was a while ago....I think i got mine at http://www.svtcustoms.com/ .... worth a look!! thanks ~john

Home Depot has it. Im guessing 3M heavy duty double sided tape will work too(from home depot). I used 3M double sided tape to stick eyelids on one of my other car's headlights. Held up at 130mph no prob. Should be fine for the emblem.
