s/c pulley changed now motors bogging
I changed the upper pulley down about 1/4" and a knn, gained about 2lbs. Truck ran great untill my alarm started acting up so i disconnected the battery. Now when i get on it, it starts to bogg or detinate. Does'nt make sense. Do i need to program the computer. Anyone know about this, and why didnt it start running like poop right after i changed the pulley.
Changing the pulley should not cause the problem you are describing. Nor does it require re-programming. You may want to do a chip or program, but that's not your current problem.
I'm guessing the problem is related to something which has become unhooked or disconnected from putting the K & N setup on. Go back and make sure all of the hoses and lines are attached to the rubber elbow between the air filter and the thtottle body. Make sure you did not pull the other end of any hoses loose. Also, check to be sure the mass air flow sensor is hooked up and the elbow is properly clamped to it. If all else fails, put the stock air filter setup back on and see if the problem goes away.
The alarm going off sounds like you may have discharged the battery. Once the battery is disconnected, the truck has to re-learn your driving pattern and will run differently for about 10 miles but should not run as badly as you are describing.
