Anyone raced an SRT-10 Yet

I just wanted to know if anyone has raced an SRT-10 yet. It was nice having the fastest truck around until....... I know that the SRT is quite a bit heavier than the L' but 500 HP is going to be hard to beat. All I've got so far is Cat-Back and CAI.

There are lots of us that have taken out the SRT-10 without issue, all the way from stock trucks to very modified trucks. Stock vs. stock, it is a pretty close race, but a little modification on the Lightning and it's all over. Fastest stock SRT-10 I've heard of ran 13.5x. There are a few modded ones in the 12s. That's really it. You catch one at the track, take it on and take it out. It may have 500HP (or so they say), but it's still a pig.

You definetly need to invest in a pulley and a good tune.
These trucks really come alive after those mods. A cat back does nothing for a stock truck, and the cai does little. Good luck and happy modding.

I dont think a stock lightning as any chance from 50+ roll and with a good driver in the SRt-10 easy low 13s. Now sure in perfect wether back east you can run a low 13 with a lightning but not in cali its mostly 13.7-14.0 at 99-100 in stock form. My uncle has one i have raced him mutiple times and driven it/in it Alot.

p.s. 4.56 gears REALLY wakes up the low end on those

From a roll a stock Lightning will have a hard time with an SRT-10. After all, Lightnings are not top-end runners, but it'll be a good race nonetheless. From a dead stop it'll be a real race. With a good driver the SRT-10 is claimed to go 12s, but there are obviously no good drivers out there because no stock SRT-10 that I've heard of has gone better than 13.5s.

Bottom line, Dodge did a good job with the SRT-10, but they could have done better. Ford's done it right for 11 years now...and they'll do it the way it should be in 2006.

I watched that video,

i love it, i couldnt stop laughing.

the poor SRT-10 looks like it is sitting still when the L takes off.

the camera guy couldnt keep them both in the picture so he just decided to follow the L

well here in my town there are No SRT-10's and i have the only Lightning that i know about so pickins are slim here

The man that owns the local dodge place brought there SRT-10 out three weeks ago on a sat night to play.( he tried to race me in a hemi truck when they first came out it was pretty funny). Well i guess he thought he had a better chance now. He wouldnt let me get beside him but would stay about three cars ahead and then hed kick it. well after him doing that twice i said screw it, im gonna really embarass him when i come past him from 3 back. He kicked at 45 so did i , realed him in by 70 and was 3 cars ahead at 110 . I wish i had my bottle in the cab that night(i didnt put it in till the next day. I will say stock L's will have a hard time beating one from a roll unless its real cold out.

SRT-10 =
