got a ticket again for excessive noise

I’m currently running the Kooks Long Tube Headers AND THE Silver Bullet system,
I total enjoy the sound but the cops don’t, got the last ticket going up a hill at 2am
I would like to go back to a stock sound or quieter but I like the look of the tail pipes so I want to keep them.

A trip to Midas???
Just don’t want to lose any horsepower if possible

Any suggestions

thanks

ya, to many street racing deaths in the last few years here from young kids.
one cop was killed as a young kid blew thru a red light at 140km in a 50km zone. cop was killed, trial is going now, so cops are out on a witch hunt for loud cars.

I always thought the excessive noise ordinance was a double standard considering there are much louder vehicles out there like some bikes and semi trucks...

Like he said.

Do they have Harley Davidsons (Motorcycles) up there? They are ALL frickin loud. Also, what about dump trucks and busses.

This is a selective bull$h!t double standard, wherein usually the police officers issuing the citation would love to own your vehicle, but are envious so they make themselves feel better about their life by issuing citations to those who do have.

From: Colorado,
There was a post a while back about those electric cutouts.
That way you could control the sound when you want it.

Or how about some baffle type tail pipe inserts. The hurt power at high RPM but you can always take them out durring the day.

Night time in quite neighborhoods is when they will be sure and get ya.

Here ya go I did a search for ya http://www.quicktimeperformance.com/

those quick time eprformance electronic cutouts look cool. 400$ for us Lightning owners tho. plus you'll need some custom muffler shop work to cut out part of the midpipes or cats.

Would be cool to run straightpipes (headers to cutouts to cats) then turn the cutouts on and have normal exhaust.

If you go for the bigger Magnaflow mufflers it will quiet it down, and wont kill much if any power

Still sounds awesome when you get on it hard, but not as loud when cruisin

Thats some pretty schitt right there Don

How do you guys keep underneath so frigging clean

It does seem the line that determains if you get a ticket or not based on your "sound level" is 100% based on THAT Cop vs HIS/HER Mood THAT day
AND THAT SUCKS
OR SOMETHING...........
