Thumbs up Procharger F1R testing, take 3 - 700rwhp

Well, today was round three of dynoing the Big Red Machine with the monster F1R. The only "change" I made power wise, was I took the Apten ported empty case and replaced it with a fully open case. I suspected the previous setup was costing me a little power because of how the HP started to plain off at high rpms.

The first pull I used the same tune from the last outing. This time the truck pulled to about 5500, and then the adapter on the balancer that the pulley threads into broke. But the good news is the truck made 704 rwhp and 700.1 ft-lbs . These are STD numbers since that's what everyone seems to be posting lately. SAE was 688/690. This is with NO nitrous, boost only. That's still with only 18 degrees of timing. I can see the truck making 725 with a full rpm pull and more timing. I am still amazed at the torque.

For those of you who like blower and I/C numbers, I logged the IAT2 temperature during the pull, and it was only 105 degrees. The shop air was 85 degrees. That's only a rise of 20 degrees from out of the blower to into the motor. And that's just with a dyno fan blowing on it. That's a serious intercooler .

Just thought I'd share. LightningFest is coming close, and time is running out. I just want to make a full pass and see what she will do. The truck hasn't moved since Nov of 03.

I can't wait to see you get all the bugs worked out. That is going to be an awsome truck. Keep up the good work.

you should see the smile on my face.

Thats sooooooooo cool. It must suck just waiting to get that thing to hit the track.

So what do you intend to do kit wise? Are you going to sell a stripped out eaton case with the kit? or have people just sawzall out the case they have now?

well. . .maybe not a sawzall. But something.

Way to go, Sal!

I know you're trying to keep the price of the kit down; but, it sounds like a custom intake may be well worth the extra cash for those that would want to squeeze out the best performance possible. I hope it comes together in time for a great show at Lightning Fest.

Great numbers Sal! How much boost were you running? Is nitrous going to be in the game plan?
