Hey guys I just wanted to pass this great deal onto everyone here. (no I dont work for Apten) I just know a lot of guys on here were debating the port but $600 was a little out of most of our price ranges... Under $400 is a real good deal if you can have your car sit for a few days, they said they are trying to keep the 3-4 day turn around time. They are running the special for Cobra and Lightning blowers both, I just figured I'd pass this on.

I haven't done anything more to the Cobra, just the predator, short throw and open filter. I have a 2.8 pulley that's waiting to go on, and bassani x pipe with cats and magnaflow mufflers, but I havent gotten around to installing anything yet.

I was debating over getting the blower ported for a little while, but for $400 you can't pass it up. Anyone else on here thinking about doing the port on their Lightnings?

Things are going real well man. I wished I could have just jumped right into modding the cobra, but I'm kinda just hanging out. I have all these things in my garage, just havent done the installs yet. I wanted to just do a chip and pulley. But it turned into a little more than that. You can't just do one thing. I gotta do the plugs too, and get a custom tune... The list goes on. I am going to try to put the exhaust and cats on one slow day at work here, but we've been real busy. I want to do the port too, but then I may need to upgrade the fuel system, I don't know if I want to do that.
Another thing is if this special was going on in December, I'd jump all over it. But I dont have a 2nd car to drive so I cant just pull the blower off, and have a week of downtime.

The mod is proven and I must say one of the best bangs for the buck, so if I can work something out, I will.

Apten is NOT doing the porting... But the company they used is...

 

So how do I get in on this? I went to Apten's site and they do not show a special.

I am going to have to pay a core charge b/c I am not sure when I'll actually get to the install, but I want to save $200 and get it while this special is going on.

Shane, V and his Wife have turned there's into a screamer with a
simple stock L upper, Cat Back, Filter, and SCT I think they're using. Think V said it Dyno'd near 500 HP (483 or something) and last time out she was bracket racing at like 12.0 - 12.1 ON THE BRAKES on stock tires, with no hole shot, just chirp and stab, and no power shifting, WOO HOO.....

I think these Cobra's will go 10's with Juice and some better 1/2 shafts no prob, all on a stock motor. BEST OF LUCK PAL

 

Thanks man. I am going to see if I can get it into the 11's on a good day with a safe tune, and a pulley swap. I think after I put the exhaust on, I'll be around 450rwhp. That should be fun.
I do miss all the torque my truck had, it had 490 at the wheels after the last dyno. The cobra only has under 400, but once I get the mods on, I should be happy. I'd like to send the blower out, I just cant go a week without the car either. We'll see.
