I was told longtubes may decrease torque in the low end range if you're running stock boost? Any truth in this? ie It may increase max torque, but reduce it at 3300 to 3800 RPMs...?

I feel like I've posted this a dozen times now.

I did not lose low end torque with a full-exhaust+LT's on my stock tune/boost.

I didn't lose torque either, infact I gained nearly 30ft/lbs from 3200 to 4200rpms, the gains continuted through the entire run. truck was bone stock other than the long tubes and exhaust, no chip, no filter, no nothing.

later,
chris

holy crap

i put my headers and high flows on yesterday. At first I thought Probie might have been a little nuts. I got out of the truck after driving for a little while and it felt like I was standing next to a camp fire. It's really really hot. I cant' imagine what effects that has on the tranny.

By the way........Headers and JDM's silver bullet are not the best combination. It is obnoxiously loud. I'll ride it the rest of the year but they need to be changed........hehe.
